Neon Lighting

Invented in 1910 by Georges Claude, neon lights two years later and for the first time, the sign of a Parisian hairdresser.

Today, red neon has given way to fluorescent tubes (termed by abuse of language neon tube) available in a wide range of colors.

Offering a 360° lighting angle and a powerful and homogeneous illumination, neon has acquired its letters of nobility in the advertising and visual communication sector. Although very widely used in signage, neon is beginning to be supplanted by LEDs, which have an advantage in terms of power consumption and lifespan.
